Our Whirlpool Duet washer was stuck in an irritating pattern- fine for a while, then suddenly it would walk across the concrete basement floor and inevitably leak. I would check and sure enough, the feet were loose and it was out of level. I’d level it back up and tighten the feet back, only to start over in another few weeks. I was wishing I had my old top loader back. My wife was fed up and giving me grief about getting someone in to fix it “because it must be broken”. Before I gave up and called for service, I was directed to these by an online appliance newsletter and I figured, why not? I was skeptical, but figured I would give them a shot. Cheaper than a service call, anyway.
Two months later, the washer has not moved an inch. No more loose feet, no more leaks, no more irritated wife. I only wish I had known about these sooner!

First, this does not completely eliminate the vibrations. It comes close. I became familiar with Sorbothane pads after a recommendation by an orthopedist for heel pain. The product is great and it works well in reducing the vibration caused by a front loading machine. Before, pictures on my upstairs wall would vibrate. After putting the pads down I can hardly tell when the machine is spinning. Unsure about long term reliability as I’ve only had these for about 45 days. Shouldn’t cost this much but my wife and I consider it a good investment

Anti-walk Silent Feet – Anti-vibration Pads for Washing Machines and Dryers

I have an LG washing machine and it walks during the spin cycle. It was VERY annoying to reposition the washing machine after every wash. The vibration was loud enough to feel and hear one floor away. That is until I purchased this Anti-Walk Silent Feet from Vibration Solution. They work absolutely GREAT!!!!!!!!!! My washing machine does not even move a millimeter from where is it placed no matter how unbalanced the load is. Phenomenal. Here are my recommendations and how I installed them by myself.

1. I got the RED BOX of vibration pads, not the green box.
2. I got a good mental image on where the feet of the appliance are in relationship to the outside body of the appliance. Most of the time the feet are not visible when you look down from the top of the appliance.
3. I positioned the washing machine to where I wanted it.
4. I tilted the washing machine forward and dropped two of the vibration pads on the floor to where the rear feet would be when the appliance is on the floor. I used the end of a broom to move the pads into the right position. This is the most time consuming and tedious part of the process so be patient.
5. I lowered the washing machine back down on the floor and tilted it backwards.
6. I dropped the front two pads on the floor and positioned them to where the front feet would rest.
7. Lowering the washing machine, I was done.

These pads are made out of two kinds of plastic. The top layer (half the total thickness) is hard and this is where the feet rest. The bottom layer is softer and does most of the absorption of the vibration. It sticks to vinyl flooring so it helps to prevent walking but more importantly it absorbs most of the vibrations. I touched this layer as my washing machine was in the spin cycle and I felt the tremendous amount of vibration this layer absorbed but didsn’t conduct to the floor.

Now I do not hear or feel on another floor when the washing machine is on a spin cycle. The feet are on the pricey side but what they do to eliminate the walking, they are very much a worthwhile investment.. This is a solid 5 star product

My in-laws had several complaints about their recently purchased front-loading washing machine.

1) The new washer is shorter than their previous model so the dryer was taller. The harmony of the room was diminished. It just didn’t look right.
2) While in the laundry room, the washer made the house feel like the foundation was shaking.
3) The washing machine could be heard though out the house – especially in the living room, which shares a wall with the laundry room. Basically, the washing machine and TV sit back to back. The extra noise was infuriating my father-in-law.

After many hours of internet research, I purchased a set of Silent Feet based on other Amazon users’ recommendations and the fact that NASA uses the same materials that are in Silent Feet to protect equipment on the space shuttle.

I chose the Anti-Walk Silent Feet because my father-in-law really wanted the washer “locked” into place. At first, he was skeptical, but the Silent Feet were very easy to install. We tilted the washer back and forth and placed the Silent Feet under each of the washer’s legs. The Silent Feet added enough height to make the washer sit flush with the dryer.

Now you can barely feel the washing machine when it is running. What once seemed very prominent now can be barely felt. And best of all, Jack Bauer can be fully enjoyed without the muffled drone of a washing machine in the back ground.

Silent Feet worked great. My in-laws couldn’t be happier.

Great product I had previously order a set of black Silent Feet for my machine at first I was skeptical about them I wasn’t sure any pad would make the difference but these little guys do a great job at reducing the noise caused by washing machine vibration. I ordered the blue set for me to add a little color and the others for some friends, Thanks a lot product works great keep up the good work

The drier was always OK, but the washer sounded like a jet taking off and the vibration was terrible. The washer is still a little noisy (Silent Feet doesn’t fix that problem), but the terrible vibration has been greatly minimized. Pricey, but I recommend the product.

I got a Kenmore front loading washer a couple years ago and have been battling vibration walking ever since. We found a couple things helped, but nothing that actually stopped it. Until this product. It was a bit pricey at 5% of the cost of the machine, but I was sooo tired of running down to the basement to hold the machine so it wouldn’t pull the hoses off the wall. These don’t stop the noise when it is spinning, but the machine hasn’t moved an inch since we installed them a few weeks ago. And I purposely ran the worst offenders – throw rugs and towels.

Anti-walk Silent Feet – Anti-vibration Pads for Washing Machines and Dryers

Anyone who has one of the new front-loading washing machines installed on a second story knows how awful it is. The spin cycle shakes the whole house. Pictures rattle on the walls, the windows actually bow and it honestly sounds like a helicopter hovering over the house (I swear, that’s not an exaggeration). It actually caused a shelf of my china hutch to collapse.

But wow! These Silent Feet are abolutely great! The best $80 (2 sets) I have spent in a while. The noise is almost completely gone. Same with the vibration. Still a little of both but dramatically improved.

A little challenging placing them under the back feet. They won’t slide under the weight of the machine. Our solution: push the machine back, have one person tip it forward and use a stick to slide the Silent Feet into place.

The installers told me they had never seen a front-loading washer run so silently and still. They actually took the Silent Feet packaging with them to recommend them to customers.
